Forum Rules

Welcome to Dragon Ball Adventures!

This is a dragon ball roleplaying website of which you are fully free to create your own characters, and bring yourself into the dragon ball universe. While myself and the rest of the DBA staff are mainly focused upon the site's recreational value and the overall satisfaction of our members, there are still some basic rules and regulations that must be gone over beforehand. This is nothing out of the ordinary, just a few simple rules that will ensure that everyone is capable of having a good time during they stay here.

1. We here at DBA want to make it abundantly clear from the get go that we consider this site to be an open minded space, where anyone and everyone can come to share their stories and enjoy themselves. Because of this, we ask that our members at the very least try to be respectful of the well being of others here. Bullying and harassment of any form will not be tolerated.

2. Arguing. We understand that disagreements are a common thing, especially in a space of which people with varying opinions and perspectives interact with one another. We do not forbid arguments from occurring, as long as they are either facilitated, or done in a respectful manner that is kept out of the eyes of the general public. There is no reason for the chatbox and other members to be involved with an issue that is between solely two individuals, so we ask that if you do end up having an issue with someone, either pm them privately, or relay the information to a moderator who will then create a thread where the issue can be facilitated, and hopefully resolved.

3. Discrimination. This is something we have zero tolerance policy for here at DBA, and anyone who is caught being deliberately prejudice or discriminatory to any other member for any reason will receive a temporary 2 week ban. If this offense is given to the same individual twice, there will be a 2 month ban, and then a permanent one.

4. We here at DBA don't wish to restrain what it is our members are allowed to converse about, but at the same time we do understand how some may be interested in topics that others may find displeasing. Because of this, we have decided to put in place a PG-13 rating on the contents that are disposed. This does not mean that adult language and themes are not allowed to be explored, but only in much less quantity and with a warning for those who wish to not be exposed to it.

5. The final and probably most important rule, Respect one another. This site is supposed to be a place where we all can be apart of the DBA family. Families fight, families argue and disagree. But there is nothing to gain from having a lasting issue or hatred of another member. It's hard to have fun here if your playing fields are restricted by anything, so just try to keep in mind that we all are here for the same thing, and we should be able to achieve it together.

"RP Rules

This is more or so focused on the actual rp portion of the site. More in depth rules and regulations focused upon the elaborate parts of the roleplay will be posted within that section of the forum, this is more or so for general knowledge before heading into those guidelines.

1. No Godmodding. While this is self explanatory to some, nobody likes having their characters completely obliterated and controlled by someone else. The rule is plain and simple. Treat other players with the same respect in battles and threads that you'd want them to treat you with. No controlling their characters unless given written permission to do so for any undisclosed reason. Punishments will be administered to any Players who attempt to control the actions of other characters in battle or otherwise when not given permission to do so.

2. No metagaming. This is one of the more important rules. Metagaming is the act of using OOC knowledge to influence IC behaviors. Doing things such as, automatically being aware of the race of a character that you've never even seen before IC, knowing of transformations and skills they might possess before you could ever actually know. These things are not allowed at all, and punishments will be administered to those who attempt to utilize this.

3. No one liners. We understand that for those who are just getting into rp, posting may seem like a somewhat challenging task. Despite this, we also realize that the only way to get better or to maintain a skill in writing is to challenge yourself, and to do so we are asking that you post a minimum of 250 words per post in the RP. This is being done solely to ensure that you are giving at least a general consensus within your posts, and if you are posting alongside another individual they are being given something else to work with and respond to without having to go out of their way to do so.

4. For the sake of maintaining order and competence within your threads, we ask that you follow a consistent posting order. Meaning that if you are posting threads that involve two or more people, you follow an order that alternates between them in a repetitive order.

5.We ask that any items, skills, or transformations that you use within a thread be approved and given the go through before you use them in a thread or fight. This is to prevent any members from using abilities and items that they didn't properly receive that give them the advantage in a fight.

6. Editing without the permission of other players you may be threading with or moderators is not permitted. If members are caught editing their actions in posts or the tags of threads to alternate potential outcomes, they will be punished accordingly.
